There is a blue pin marker on the map located where we will park. I'll have my phone with me if you have any questions. Tammi ~[masked]

This is going to be an awesome place to shoot :D

Sorry I left early. I had a play date for my dog. I'll post some of those photos too.
Great location, I had a great time meeting everyone today.

The blue pin dropped in the middle of what looks like corn fields. I see a parking lot near the fox river trail on the east side of the river. Is that where we should park?

My name is jacob, and I am new to this group. I would be interested in coming out to the let's shoot something event that is tommorow morning. Is this event open to those looking to become new members. Also is there an exact place within the forest preserve to meetup. Thank you.

I've never been to Lords Park in Elgin, but I've been meaning to go. There's a zoo and museum on the 108 acres. Google it for images of the park. It looks interesting. Not sure if I can make it or not - probably, but such short notice! Could also just pick a downtown area to wander about - Elgin, St. Charles, Geneva, etc. Also Sherman Hospital on Randall Road has interesting architecture and a geothermal pond with a sidewalk all around (for walking and running). It might be more interesting a little later in the year but there's water, architecture and probably waterfowl. They also have community gardens there but it's too early for that. There are parks and forest preserves all around us. Some of them are on the river or have ponds or streams running through them but a lot are probably muddy. I can find stuff to shoot anywhere. There's a farm in a park in St. Charles. Primrose Farm is open to the public - cows, chickens, etc. Maybe horses, I'm not sure.

I'd be interested in shooting horses, though.

I like watery places, too... ponds, streams, I don't know your area at all. Hopefully one of the others will have a suggestion.
