'The TEAM' is founded by a band of brothers of which are a former Navy SEAL and 2 former Intelligence operators. Our aim is focused on building a community of like minded individuals who seek to promote and maintain a robust and healthy lifestyle through building TEAM's to take on unique races and adventures centered around physical activity.
With the countless fun and adventurous races that surround our area, we build teams from within at all skill levels to take on races such as the Tough Mudders, Spartan Races, Ragnar 200 mile relay race, and other adventure races.
While the TEAM is about finding others who simply seek, the shared mindset of pushing the physical and mental limits of one’s self, we seek out both novice level “Where do I start” to Expert level "What's next" members and take each to their next level.
Our secondary focus is broader and focuses on putting together TEAM's for our adventure travel, known as "Deployments", such as trekking across parts of Iceland, Scotland, Nepal, Borneo, to building TEAM's to crew large sail boats on week long open ocean voyages.
Adventure challenges we take on range from bettering one's health to tackling Mt. Everest. Our adventure travel and training are closely patterned after a work-up and execution for a military deployment; 'The Team' focuses on a few deployments each year with difficulties and experiences ranging from novice to expert. (example expert deployment- 2 week 212 mile Trek with backpacks and tents, Coast to Coast across Scotland), (example novice deployment- 1 week ski/snowboard trip incorporating 2 days of back country snowshoeing in Jackson Hole Wyoming).
'The Team' prepares for each race and deployment through fun and exciting training, known as 'Workups', in the months leading up to each race or adventure. These "Work-ups range from of mid-week get together's and Happy Hours, to weekends consisting of teaching basic to advanced skills through an exciting and adventurous way such as:
- Basic to Advanced Urban Physical Fitness
- Basic to Advanced Nutrition
- Basic to Advanced Camping
- Basic to Advanced Hiking
- Basic to Advanced Trekking
- Basic to Advanced Skiing / Snowboarding
- Basic to Advanced Running
- Basic to Advanced Medical
- Basic to Advanced Shooting
'The Team' also promotes learning through bringing in guest speakers to speak about their experiences such as:
- Physical Fitness Trainers
- Former Special Forces
- Former Government and Military Leaders
As with any close team, ‘The Team’ forges camaraderie through:
- Weekday Happy Hours
- Training & Racing together (ex: local 5k's, 10k's, Relay Races, Half, Full & Ultra Marathons)
- Morning and Evening Workout's
- Weekend trips
- Volunteer Service
