A CANDLE FOR FRANK

In Honor & Memory of FRANK OAKES

We will light a candle in the court yard for our very own local organic farmer Frank Oakes tonight.

Frank passed away in his sleep.

It is a great loss for our community.

His is a hero for being Militantly Organic and protecting us with Safe Water & Food Initiatives. Going to bat for our Raw & Living Foods, and Humbly Guiding and Teaching our Community about Sustainability, Gardening, Etc.

He gardens in Heaven now.

Please pray for his family & staff.

Frank gave his ALL to the community! He has a place in our heart forever! Such a nice man. He will be very much missed.
He just heard him speak at the stroke recovery support group! He told us story after story, the one new thing I learned from him is that the nutrients in the soil are not extracted into the plant until it is ripe and formed seeds! As in red peppers! Praying God will make something good come out of this, and for comfort to the family who loved him so.

Oh my. I hadn't heard. Just got on my computer. I too would like to know why he passed. Was he sick recently? My thoughts and prayers are with his family and workers at the store.

He was tired on Sunday, flu symptoms, couldn't get warm, skipped the family super bowl gathering, and laid down for a nap.

Frank Oakes was a wonderful, positive, selfless, inspiring gentleman and gentle man. His passing is a great loss to the community he gave so much of himself to. He was an example of everyday greatness to all of us. His life mission will live on. My prayers are with his family and his staff at Food and Thought and the farm. Thank you, Frank, for all the many lives you impacted for the better. We have all been blessed to know you.

The picture is Frank and me donating the $6,800 proceeds of an organic gardening class to ECHO. Frank was a very generous man.

Still in Shock. We will miss him so much! He was just teaching me the other day on why he does not believe in Plastic recycling any longer. Always sharing and teaching and sometimes preaching!
