I'm a vintage user. My first computer was a Macintosh SE and years later a Mac PowerPC. But alas I took a detour down the PC trail during graduate school and have only recently come back into the fold. I had such an awesome experience with my iPad (purchased last May) that I bought my MBP in December. Except for odd little things that still eclipse my brain (it's the PC to Mac thing), I'm loving it!
Hmmm, haven't given much thought to that. I'd like to come back and comment, except for the one thing that I am working on right now that I'd love to see presented at a meeting. I'm a writer, business/advertising/professional, newly turned fun and fiction, which is an entirely different domain and style of writing. I'm trying to find the right way/app to organize a textual database that I've compiled from everything I read. It has things like really cool, evocative, and descriptive words (one list), and many snippets of verbiage with interesting ways to describe all sorts of things: sunset, rain, eyes, touch, etc. What I'd like to know from TMUG is which type of app: DevonThink, YoJimba, Soho Notes, etc., or some HyperCard-like application would be the best way of organizing and accessing my information.
iPad - 1st gen. Thought about iPhone 5, but I have to say that I really love my HTC EVO Android phone. ––Oops, am I allowed to say that here? Hope I'm nobody hits the EJECT button and sends me flying . . . .
Maybe, I don't have a lot of time as I usually work until 7 PM most weeknights. So depending on when, possibly yes.
Hi, I'm a vintage Mac user, but took a side trip over the years via the PC terrain. I'm glad to be back to Mac and am enjoying my sparkling new (6 mos.) MacBook Pro wearing its way cool Speck Satin case. Smythe told me about the group.
Great! Glad to know it exists. I've been meaning to come for a while now, but I usually work at nights. So if you guys don't mind my straggling in a bit late, I'll start coming. : )
