The TNTs invite you to join them on June 23rd at Central Park Summerstage where Femi Kuti will be performing a FREE concert. We will meet outside the Chapel at 12:30, grab some sandwiches and head to Central Park together. If you are not able to make it to FUUB that day, please contact Katie Trossello at [masked] for more information on where to meet. Hope you can make it!
Femi Kuti is the son of Fela Kuti whom many know as the Nigerian multi-instrumentalist musician and composer, pioneer of Afrobeat music, human rights activist, and political maverick. Femi Kuti grew up playing and touring with his father, immersed in the culture of music and political thinking and activism. Although performing with his own project and his own music in his own right, Femi continues to call for and sing the message of human rights action and political change as did his father. He is also Amnesty International's 50th Anniversary Advocate. More info can be found here: http://www.cityparksfoundation.org/calendar/femi-kuti-the-positive-force-sinkane-dj-sets-by-king-britt/.
