Wild, Wonderful Wildflower Trail - Part I

Guided hike with Land Trust of N. Alabama botanist Lynne Weningegar, one hour, easy with moderate incline, roots and rocks on trail.

Walk with botanist Lynne Weninegar on the Land Trust trail named for its claim to fame: beautiful wildflowers. Bring your camera and water. Learn more about the stars of this Blossomwood trail. This hike is the first of three this spring to showcase the many moods of this beloved trail.

Directions: from California Street SE, turn east onto to Hermitage Avenue (Hermitage runs only on this one side of California Street SE), turn left onto Cleermont Drive SE. Meet at the Wildflower Trail trailhead at end of Cleermont Drive SE.

NOTE: This event is cancelled if it is raining.

This hike is open to the public and is free.  Donations are welcomed and appreciated.

    so no dogs? That would be fine, i just need to know before i show up with a dog and commit a big faux pas. I am starting to think it would easier to handle a camera without a dog anyway.

      Yes it is slow paced. They stop often to talk about the flowers.

      I did this last year and I was not an avid hiker. Made it great downhill, had to stop on and off going up but made it and so did everybodyelse.
