  • Hi Irma, this will be my play in Huntsville :) the reserve was a great idea, but no one answered the phone so I just went on line and got the tickets. See you tomorrow at the box office, I am shooting for 7pm. :)

  • Hi Irma, There is a dance at Claysville, you will see the DANCE signs posted along 431 near the nursing home. The dance is in the Shriners club building in a grove of pines behind the nursing home. Just drive toward Huntsville and before you get to 69 that leads to Scottsboro you should see the signs on the right. Pass the nursing home and you have gone too far. Dance starts at 7pm with Paul as DJ, cost is $5.00 Refreshments provided. No ALCOHOL, or smoking permitted.

  • Irma, I just received a phone call from a friend about an exciting block party tomorrow afternoon from 2-5pm. Another option is to go kayaking tomorrow late morning, (the trip there and back is under 3 hours and the float is about 2 hours), then go to the block party :-) We could easily pick up something on the way to the party (cheese & crackers, or such). What do you think?

  • Hi Irma,

I'm flexible. The drive from Hsv is about 80 minutes because of low speed limits much of the way.

Last week I started the kayak float in the late afternoon. Lots of shade along the river bank.

In addition, getting out about dinner time allows for eating out afterwards.

What's good for you, Irma? Will you drive from Albertville?
