My favorite outdoor activities include but are not limited to paddling, hiking with my dog, Tyler, and managing my yards.
The coolest place I've been to is Antartica on assignment to manage and record garbage.
The most adventurous thing I've done is live on my 28' Westsail for 3 years.
My favorite getaway spot is rather large: I love motoring down Hwy 395 from Reno, NV to Death Valley, CA (i.e., Mount Lassen, Mono Lake, the east side of Yosemite, Bear Valley, ...) where I can find opportunities to paddle, hike, backpack, camp, ski, explore and relax (not to mention, get-away-from-it-all).
I'd been a member and organizer of Tennessee Valley Adventure since 2007. Outdoor South absorbed the club a few months ago and I came along with the package
Outdoor Club South is an amazing organization. It gives me the ability to participate with a variety of people from various chapters.
Thanks for the greeting. I look toward to it
as well. Are children welcome
to most gatherings? I have 2 sons ages 12 and 9. They handle themselves
fairly well on the water.
Hi Debra.. Thanks~ hehe. I won't be making the next two weekend paddling trips as I will be either out-of-town or doing a Triathlon at Guntersville. Have fun~ Cheers!
Hi Debra, I booked 4 seats (family/friend) for the Ocoee River Rafting on 9/18 @ 12:30. Is anyone interested in having another meetup and joining us on that day?
hi Debra-looking forward to meeting you at the pistol class.--george
Debram good evening...I just saw your plan on going to the Elk River. I am Brazilian and I have done some kayak many years ago in France...I would like to go tomorrow with my daughter Ynaie - she is 19...and had done kayak 2 or 3 time...(sorry about my English). would you mind call me so I can see with you if it is possible for us to go tomorrow? my phone nr is [masked]. Thank you. Laura Maria
hey deborah...just saw your greeting...am looking forward to it...haven't floated down a river in a while. I'm a bit confused...are we going with Troy's group, or going a little earlier? Looks like our route is a little bit longer...and maybe a little more quiet, lol ?
I would love to go to the range to practice with you!
Thanks, Debra. I go by Judith-Ann.
Thanks Debra. I will be on the hiking trails tomorrow night with some members of the TN Valley Adventure group.
I don't know of a specifically female canoer group, however, you might try getting in touch with Huntsville Canoe Club (huntsvillecanoeclub.org). They have a number of women members, and you might suggest such a group to them! That's a cool idea. I have also heard that the Paint Rock is a nice river for relaxed paddling, I hope to try it this season.
