Monday Oct 28 Last Song Before the War:
For more than 12 years musicians from around the world gathered to perform in the heart of Mali at the Festival in The Desert, but the festival disbanded in 2012 after Islamic militants seized control of Northern Mali. The Last Song Before the War is a beautiful testament to this unique festival and its final year.
Special Guest: Kiran Ahluwalia Indo-Canadian singer and Festival in the Desert performer
I have purchased a ticket for all four events and hope that some of you can join me.
I'll aim to be in the lineup to get into the theatre by 5:45 p.m.
Let me know if you're coming and I'll send you my cell #, perhaps we can meet up before the movie and find seats together or go for a drink & snacks at Pauper's pub across the street afterwards.
