This group is dedicated to all who want to eat and grow tasty organic food. If that is what you like, join. No matter if you have land or not, are highly experienced or have never grown a thing in you life. We want to be a space to teach and to learn, to connect, to help each other, to share the bounty we produce with each other and the community.

Building community is of great importance. Please bring yourself with an open heart to make new friends, bring your friends along the journey towards building a healthy future for all of us.

One of our goals is to bring organic gardens to preschool and daycare centers, encourage the providers to garden with the children and eat the harvest together. Members can donate plants, help with garden builds and/or volunteer to help with maintenance.

Transition is a worldwide movement. Here is the wikipedia entry:

A transition town is a grassroot community project that seeks to build resilience in response to peak oil, climate destruction, and economic instability.

Organicgardening without synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

Permaculture:

"Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, rather than against nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless labor; and of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a single product system." - Bill Mollison

All members are encouraged to participate as much or as little as they want and to bring their ideas and talents to the group.

Henry

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
