This is the meeting of the Rare Fruit Growers of San Diego. The meetings are open to the public, but it is only $ 13 for a whole year to become a member of the local chapter. Not all members are dedicated to organic practices, but many are and much of the information you can learn here applies to all growing techniques.
October 23rd: Speaker David Yetz, a Certified Nursery Professional at Armstrong Garden Center, a professional horticulturist with the Water Conservation Garden and a former CRFG Chapter Chairman, will present on crops of the fall. Wonder what trees will provide fruits for the fall and holiday table? This is a presentation that will provide sound information about fruits for the gardener to harvest in the later part of the year, including nuts, pomegranates, persimmons, and jujubes.
Members who bring snacks and their own utensils enjoy front of the line privileges, so don't forget to bring your own eating utensils. Lets cut down on the waste we generate.
