Bicycling along Braes Bayou Corridor

Darleane and Trudy will be doing a biking event along Braes Bayou with a stop at 3 Brothers Bakery along the route (so bring some cash along with you)! Hope some of you will join them!!! FYI- The starting time is still up in the air... update later.

Starting point will be at the Houston Zoo, meeting over by the old Golf Clubhouse across from the Main Zoo Entrance on Herman Park Drive. This is an out and back trip.

Be sure to bring yourself plenty to drink and some snacks. You will need to supply your own bike and helmet for this event.

I had a great time cycling the Bears Bayou trail with everyone. Trudy did an awesome job of organizing this ride as well as leading the ride. We 20 & 1/2 miles with a stop for refreshments at 3 brothers bakery.

He is due May 30th. I am hoping he will arrive while I am there. We are so short staffed at my work, I had to set vacation time in Feb and it's a miracle that I'm getting to go. Thanks, will keep you posted.

Thanks Trudy. Nice peaceful route and such a caring leader specially for me with a single-gear bike. Thank you! I had an awesome time!

4 of us biked and it was wonderful. We biked before it got too hot. We rewarded ourselves on the way back with a stop at 3 Brother's Bakery! Let's donut again. Thanks Trudy.

Definitely we must ride again. Neither wind nor heat will stop us especially if we can stop for a sweet treat. Great fun. Thanks gals.

Across from the zoo is the old golf building (I think it is white). Park in that lot and I will stand near that building.

The later the better for me - 9 is find. Won tickets to Dave Matthews concert in the Woodlands the night before.

How about a 9 start time starting at the zoo?

It is flat all the way except for a few minor inclines. A single gear bike will be just fine. I don't think the ride will be more than two hours. We can do it fast or at a nice leisurely speed.

Is this something for a single gear bike? Also, how long is the trip?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
