Texas Invasives Citizen Scientist Training

Join us as we host Justin Bush, Invasive Species Coordinator with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, as he shares this great program with us! Learn how to identify, report, and remove local unwanted invasive species. You can report anywhere you happen go, and the best part is that your data contributes to a national database! This is a great activity for Texas Master Naturalists and Master Gardeners. Bring your camera and GPS if you have one, but they are not required. Everyone is welcome to attend this workshop!

They have paved trails at Jesse Jones park that follow Spring Creek for several miles. I was thinking about taking my bike and riding to Pundt Park (round trip of about 8-9 miles). If anyone is interested in joining me feel free! :)

Yes we will have lunch delivered if you like. Email me at [masked] with your order if you have not already! Below are the details:
We are nearing the date of our workshop coming up on March 29th! I hope you all are excited! In preparation, we will be taking lunch orders for those who like the option to have lunch delivered on Saturday. We will be ordering from Lenny’s Sub Shop, and ask that you bring $8.00 to cover the cost of lunch. Of course, you also have the option to bring your own lunch if you wish and there are fast food places nearby, but we had Lenny’s deliver last year and it was nice and convenient…and good! If you would like to place an order for lunch, please respond to this email with the information below. I would like to have all orders by Wed. 25th at the latest!
The order directions are in the message above since I went over the 1,000 character limit for this message board.

Hey Ladies!! Just an IMPORTANT friendly reminder...

If you are definitely going to be attending the workshop, don't forget to click on the link in the event posting and register for it! Only two so far have signed up via the TexasInvasives.org website. I cannot stress enough how important it is to pre-register!!! And make sure your guests pre-register as well. In the past we have had to cancel workshops if there were too few people signed up, so make sure you sign up please!!!

...And I have a list of those who have so I know who to bug :P

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
