If you want to get out of the house and have some fun and make new friends, this is the place for you. It doesn't matter if you are married, single, divorced, or undecided - no matter what your relationship status is, we all need a little girl time once in a while!
Maybe you're new in town and haven't met anyone yet. Maybe you have a ton of friends but they never want to do anything. Maybe you just need a night away from the kids. Whatever the situation, you're welcome to solve that problem by joining us! We go out to dinner, go dancing, see a movie, meet for drinks, or anything else we think sounds fun!
All we ask is: - Be at least 25 years old; - Have a clear photo of yourself as your profile pic; - Have a drama-free attitude; - Live in the area: Thousand Oaks / Simi Valley / Camarillo / Moorpark / Agoura Hills / Oak Park / Westlake Village / Newbury Park. Ventura and Oxnard acceptable but we rarely do meetups that way.
GROUP MEMBERSHIP POLICY: Membership is free. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR NO-SHOWS. Inactive members may be removed after being inactive for several months. If you have a smart phone, I suggest getting the Meetup app, it's free and it makes it easy to rsvp and see our events.
We also have a Facebook group with the same name in case Meetup's website is not working. All RSVPs are still done through here.
* The hardest part is attending the first meetup, but after that then you are not a stranger anymore! *
*Please no business networking or soliciting of any kind. We do not do product parties. If you join the group with the intention to solicit, you will be removed.
FAQS: - What is the age range in this group? We are mostly late 20's to mid 40's. - Will I fit in this group? If you like to have fun, yes! We do events at bars, clubs, restaurants, people's houses... We don't do book clubs or quiet events (nothing wrong with that! We like it, but there are specific meetup groups for that). If you are comfortable with that type of environment and open to meeting and accepting different people, you'll be fine! :)
We also have a Facebook group for the instances when Meetup.com is offline and to discuss other trivial everyday things (like the Bachelor(ette) shows, getting referrals, etc.)
