This book club is for lovers of books. And of talking about books. And especially for those who love talking about books in good company over a tasty meal somewhere in marvelous Melbourne...

We read fiction, and it helps if it's in print. But we don't discriminate on genre - part of the beauty is reading things you otherwise wouldn't pick up in the bookstore (or download to your Kindle for you modern types). Over the years we've read classics, contemporary literature, crime, fantasy, and even the odd YA novel...

We choose books two months in advance, and titles are nominated and voted on by members; it's awfully democratic.

We meet on the second Thursday of each month, and always in the CBD or inner suburbs close to public transport. We have some favourite venues, but love trying new places too!

There's a $3 fee per meeting, because likes taking money off my credit card every three months. But any surplus monies are put back into the group's Christmas shindig.

So come along and join us... Preferably more than once; we love it when new members like us enough to come back for seconds! (You don't have to finish the book, or like the book, or have a dissertation prepared; there's no test. But there might be spoilers.)

Come and join us; we'd love to meet you!
