Doggie Learns Group - I

Attention! Does your dog go wild in stimulating situations? If you struggle getting your dog to focus on you and not other scents and things in the environment this meetup group will help you to get your dogs attention. If you have these issues with your dog occasionally, sometimes or always all levels are welcome.

The goal: Better understand impulse control and how to attain it.  If you want to get started or move forward in your training all our groups are designed to teach~train~maintain. We teach skills, train them by proofing them in multiple environments and maintain the skills by continuing to provide the opportunities for the skills to last your dog's lifetime.

What is needed?  Your dog's favorite ball or pull toy.  6 ft leash.  verification of vaccinations and completed registration form.

CLASS #1
Reinforcing the Relationship - In observing well behaved dogs they seem to instinctively understand what their humans are asking of them.  When your dog associates you with a relationship of rewarding interactions you become the greatest reinforcer of desired behavior so make your interactions rewarding and you are sure to see the switch in their behavior towards you!

All *non aggressive dogs are welcome.

Cost (tx inc): Pre-pay 3 groups $54.24

Class size is limited - to get on the class roster you must prepay for this class with a credit card or call to pay by check or cash to[masked]-1447. Space can not be saved without payment.

Thank you, Belinda, Bailey did try very hard to pay attention and was well behaved. I think he wanted to play with Carbon. See you next week.

Wondering if this is the right group for us? When we are walking Harpo on the leash in the neighborhood, he sometimes lunges and barks at other dogs (we think he is scared). He's never hurt another dog or person or even bit, but other people might see him as scary. Then sometimes when he is in the yard, he won't listen to us to come in.
thanks, Belinda, let us know if this is right for us.

If you think this would be appropriate for Bailey, I think he needs to meet some friends and learn to listen to Mom
