Camp with us in the family camping section of the Cliffs of the Neuse near Goldsboro. You can reserve a site in advance on the State Park website or come and choose your site. Join us for a campfire-- I will post the site number. You can leave any time after the gate opens Sunday morning-- you can either get up and go, or stay and enjoy the park.
FYI the rangers are having a "Comfy Camping" class at 3:00 on Saturday.
Welcome to the Trail and River Rovers of East Carolina. For short, you can call us TRREC (pronounced "trek").
TRREC is a mechanism for enjoying the outdoors with like-minded people.
TRREC’s organizers are not “leaders”. We organize events for those with the skills and resources necessary to participate. However, if you are new to backpacking, kayaking, or bicycling and want to know how to get started, we will be happy to help you and share what we know. It takes a bit of learning, and it requires some gear, but the rewards are immense.
So whether it’s ‘packing, paddling, or pedaling, we hope to see you out there on the trail….
And now that you know what we're all about: Before joining TRREC, please review the "Member Policies" page below. The "Letter to Members on TRREC's First Birthday" will give you a good idea of how we've established our character over a year in operation. For basic information about skills and equipment needed to participate in TRREC outings, visit our Questions, Info., and Tips discussion forum.
