Originally from "Little Washington," I am returning to the area in two weeks for an extended stay. I'm looking for some people to do activities with as I get back in shape and get out on the water.
Paddling, hiking, camping, mountain biking, reading, getting to know people, would like to learn to play acoustic guitar well
I grew up on the Pamlico-Tar River...lived on West Main for many years...I am great in a canoe, good in a kayak, and rusty on a sail boat. I have led several teenagers into the Pischa National Forest for backpacking/camping adventures...but it's been a while since I did that. Still I know what to pack and how to use a camp stove, etc. I have a Trek mountain bike but haven't been on it in a while...looking to get back to the trails. Reading proficiency? AWESOME!! Have been a book lover since I was a baby. Getting to know people? Love it...I'm a great listener and I love to encourage others. Guitar? Very elementary skills.
So far this group appears to be a group that really wants to enjoy nature and wants to share that love of nature with others who may not have had the opportunity before now.

Hey Christie! I remember you. You were the only person I was able to talk to at the meet and greet before I had to head home. Thanks for joining my group. We're going to have lots of fun this year!
Hi Christie, I'm looking forward to meeting you this afternoon. I'm an avid kayaker, too.
Hi Christie,
You are welcome to come to the Warren Lake and May Lonetree events where a few extra boats will probably be available. Sounds like you have lots of paddling experiences and stories. If you can find a yak on Craigs List and are financially able, it might be helpful so you can go out more. Look forward to meeting you soon.
