January Meeting - Note: Monday evening

  • Jan 28, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Start at 6:00 for meet, mingle and bite to eat.

We'll talk about planning for the coming year at 6:30, including elections for four roles. The main presentation will start soon after that. We'll be done by 8.

Main Presentation:

A Real-world approach to SharePoint Content Migration

SharePoint and similar content management systems (CMS’s) are tools that have been developed to help the users manage their data. Without this data, such tools offer little value. Yet despite its importance, little attention is often given during SharePoint deployments or upgrades to the migration of the content into the new system. This presentation provides an overview of content migrations and offers a feasible approach that can be applied to projects that involve the SharePoint implementations.
