TX/RX Labs is a great space with very interesting people. I learn something new EVERY time I ask a question.

I can see myself spending a lot of time here - as soon as I saw the arts/crafts area and 3-D printing machines I lit up at the thought of what I could make there. I look forward to coming back to take some classes soon.

At least 80 people came to this tonite; discussions were totally awesome. And we showed off our Larson Scanner glasses (Adafruit-based) to great interest. Oh, and the food was pretty awesome too!

Most of our communications happen at our google groups: http://groups.google.com/group/txrxlabs?hl=en We have been around for a little more then a year now. Every Friday we have an open house where people present what they have built and or learned that week. We try to have at least one member give a presentation every Friday on topic they feel comfortable with. Tx/Rx labs is a communal garage for working on projects. We have a welder, a well supplied tool chest, workbenches, computers, power tools, a makerbot 3d abs printer, and more.

The food, on Fridays, is excellent. No two Fridays are alike in terms of the group of people you may meet. Tinkering Biologists one week and Penetration testers the next. There is always some cool and funky project going on, whether it be making bottle openers with a 3D printer or preparing a New Year's parade vehicle for action. Highly recommended to go at least once.

I've been going to the space for a while now and got to see the group grow. The open house is a great place to go have a good conversation. The space is a great place to go to hack around on things you always wanted to try to do but never exactly had the equipment or motivation. No idea is too crazy and everyone here is just as crazy as you are. So in the end, what seems like a crazy idea might still be crazy, but, at the space, you have the space, support and know how to actually prove it.

If you are a tinkerer or any technology enthusiast, engineer, scientist or coder you will love Tx/Rx Labs. Unlike other technology meetup groups Tx/Rx Labs brings people of all technology fields and interests together in one really cool place to collaborate on technologically challenging problems. At Tx/Rx Labs you won't just find technology enthusiasts you will find artists who need to be tech savy for their art masterpieces and you will even find a few master chefs. If you like to create things, physical or digital, you need to come out to Tx/Rx Labs.
