Z Day 2013 - Massachusetts

Z Day 2013 - Massachusetts

Join us for Z Day 2013 - Massachusetts, our annual outreach and awareness event.

***Bring a shirt, or pants, or hat, or scarf, or underwear, or other piece of clothing to tag with The Zeitgeist Movement stencil***

Zeitgeist Day(ZDAY for short) occurs annually with 100s of parallel events in over 60 countries. The goal of ZDAY is to increase public awareness to the solutions available by utilizing the scientific method for social concern as advocated by The Zeitgeist Movement. This year the main event will take place Sunday March 17, 2013 at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Los Angeles.

We will be doing our state event the day before the main event in Los Angeles. We will be showing portions of Zeitgeist: Moving Forward and having a panel discussion to answer questions abou the movement, as well as having a speaker from the Time Trade Circle of Boston.

Timebanking - Save money, learn new things, meet new friends, get help and give help!Timebanking is the exchanging of services/favors with others in your community, on the basis of time. This talk will explain what a "time bank" is, and tell you all about the Time Trade Circle (TTC), which is a large, local time bank with 800+ members all over the greater metro-Boston and Eastern-Mass area. It includes how to join if you are interested, and forms will be available.  I'll explain how time banking is different from bartering, how our local Time Trade Circle time bank works, what kinds of services people trade, and how members participate through their online account.  Membership is free.  To learn more beforehand, see our website  or facebook page Presenter: Carol Moses is one of the Coordinators of the Time Trade Circle, a Massachusetts time bank that is now the largest all-volunteer time bank in the country!  Carol is a big fan of sustainability and local networks. She is also an artist, and has traded artwork made with her time, to earn hours to trade for other services in the Time Trade Circle.

It was great to meet many people in person for the first time. The speakers, Matt Filopowicz, Kim Dostaler, Brian Miller, and Carol Moses, were great! Thank you all for coming!
