Hi Angela , best to post on the group with a date at least 7 days in advance. I cant do tomorrow

    March 24, 2014

    • angela

Not sure what you mean by post on the group, I thought I was posting on the group - it is not possible to add to the suggestions as am not an organiser. Thank you Sanj, I will give 7 days advance notice next time but was just a small suggestion if anyone could make it at short notice.

Thank you all for coming last night! At the end, it turned out okay and we luckily got a table between 8 and 9, so the people who stuck around at Ping got to play a little bit. Hope we'll get more tables again the next time.

Thanks Goetz and Sabrina for stepping due to the emergency Peter had. First meetup for me and was good to meet the others and get to play TT. I think Thursday and Fridays will be busy at this venue so another weekday is probably better. Best way to get a table seems to be turning up early and booking a table. So if there is two of you then book two different time slots. Remember, anyone can arrange a meetup on this page (I think the organist may have to announce it) - so for those of you who prefer certain days/times please put pick a date/time in advance and see how many people want to come on that day.

  • Tasneem

Hi TTers, ...well i'm sure i'll get a close to a zero chance in having a unanimous approval to my suggestion, but i'll suggest away :): is it at all possible to change the venue to somewhere more central? and to change the day to saturday or sunday?

      I agree

      March 21, 2014

    • Goetz

Of course you can set up an additional meetup at a different location and time. For this meetup today, you're suggestion comes a bit late...

Ping is near Earls Court tube station if coming by train simply take left out of station entrance few minutes.
Go to back of pub there is a cloakroom if needing to leave things £1 charge.
When you see all the tables ask someone that you want to put your name down on the blackboard .
    Bats and balls provided.

Couple of questions: Will we have any ping pong tables especially reserved for us? Also, where will everyone be / how will we know who is part of the meetup group on the night?

Hi, Can I bring a guest? Also I am not quite clear where this is taking place... Ping? What is this please? On the map it looks like it's the Earls Court Exhibition Centre ... is that where is it is? How many tables do they have? Is this a club?
Sorry so many questions ... haven't been before!

No cost Sue. At least it was all free to play one month ago :).

      No cost guests welcome.

Looks like a fantastic turnout this Friday at Ping.
I will get there early as possible and try to book as many tables as is possible.
Bring bats if you want they do have bats but not brilliant ,balls provided.
You can pick up decent enough bats from Sportsdirect look for Stiga or Schildkrot makes
    under £10.
If numbers are consistently large then look at Bounce where we would have to pay.

Hi, I am a Japanese student who have lived in London since September, 2013. I had been enjoyed playing table tennis in Japan. I found your club on website.

    March 17, 2014

  • Jonathan

Ah, I think this place must be very new as it's not on Google maps yet. Which explains why I couldn't find it.

    March 17, 2014

  • Ping

Just come out of Earls Court Station from the main exit (NOT the Earls Court Exhibition Centre exit) - you will see Greggs directly opposite the main exit, then turn left, walk 2-3 minutes along this main road and Ping is on your left hand side.

    March 17, 2014

  • angela

This sounds like a good idea. Haven't played for a very long time so would not be playing competitively.

    March 16, 2014

  • Sabrina N.

Come out of earls court station, it is about 200 yards on the left, very easy to find

    March 16, 2014

  • Jonathan

Could someone please confirm exactly where the entrance to 'Ping' is? I hope to make it this Friday. Thanks, Jon.

Hi do we need to bring our own bat???

    March 13, 2014

    • Elena M.

Hi Ed, no need to bring your own bat as they have at Ping. Also, there is no cost for playing or for the bat. At least, this is how it was last time when we organised the first event there about 1 month ago.

I would've loved to make it but I am playing the 2nd Division Cup TT match this Friday. I play in South and West Middlesex League representing my club.
