Mt. Baker Blueberry Weekend

Mt. Baker Lodge Blueberry Week

Blueberry Week at Baker Lodge enjoys fall color and blueberries. The weekend starts with dinner on Friday, Sep 20th and goes through lunch Sunday, Sep 22nd. We’ll tell you where the berries are.

Fall at Mt. Baker Lodge offers wonderful hiking on a great variety of trails. Numerous trails are within walking distance or a short drive from the Lodge. Artist Point is just 3 miles away at the end of a paved road, with panoramic views of Mt. Baker, Mt. Shuksan, and the North Cascades. Trails usually are completely snow-free by mid-August, giving even inexperienced hikers access to some of the most spectacular scenery in the Pacific Northwest.

Members $90.00 / Non-members $112.00

For a list of trails and trail conditions visit the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest webpage. Under Quick Links click on Road & Trail Conditions then click on Mt. Baker Highway (State Route 542). Early fall provides all the above plus fine blueberry picking. A guest speaker at Artist Point will talk about Birds at Heather Meadows and the Mt. Baker area at 1:00 pm. on the 21st.

The lodge is open to Mountaineers club members and the public with reservations on a first-call basis to the clubhouse (206) 521-6000. Meals are available for vegans to carnivores, dairy and gluten free. Please tell us your preferences, and any allergies, at sign-up. Meals are included in the lodge fees.

Members $90.00 / Non-members $112.00

Signup & Cancellation deadline is 5pm Monday August 29th NO REFUNDS after that time. Visit the Baker Lodge website at www.mountaineers.org/bakerlodge/ for additional information. The lodge will be open on Friday by – time to be determined. Trail lights from the parking lot to the lodge are on until 10:30 each night. Each person should bring a sleeping bag, personal gear, and a flashlight and/or headlamp plus a towel for the shower. The lodge sleeps 62 dormitory style and operates on a cooperative basis with those staying at the lodge helping in the operation.

We missed you Eddie. A few of us were talking about how we were looking forward to spending time with you. Hope you didn't have to work all weekend.

Another great weekend at the Mountaineers Lodge, I've never been disappointed. I think it will take a week for my hiking boots to dry out! What great memories of doing the Chain of Lakes trail in the rain with my 2 hiking partners.

Much thanks to Lynn for your excellent, expert sherpa guidance, encouragement and affable companionship. Could not have done that Chain Lakes hike without you. Thanks to you, we have lifetime memories.

Had a great time the Mountaineer way! The views were one of a kind and a lot of new first timers. The food was the best yet and we found lots of blueberries. Let's do it again soon! Karen

This would be great but I'll just be coming off an adventure the night before and though I'd love to do this too, don't think I can, timing just isn't good.

The Mt. Baker - Mt. Shuksan area is one of the most dynamically beautiful areas in America, if not the world. I can't wait for lovely hiking weather and stunning views!
