Fan Appreciation Day / Closing Day at the Races at Emerald Downs!

  • Sep 25, 2011 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The sport of Thoroughbred racing is like no other. The pounding hooves and pounding hearts give the sport its own rhythm, its own intensity, even its own language.

Win prizes and enjoy great discounts ($1 admission, $1 preferred parking, $1 programs, $1 concession stand specials). Watch and wager on the Gottstein Futurity and the Ashbaugh Beal Claiming Challenge as we say goodbye to another racing season.

$1 includes access to the first five levels of the Grandstand, Paddock and Park and free general parking with a shuttle to the front gate. Note: If it rains, no problem, the grand stand is covered but I am hoping for sun.  Look for your Event Organizer, Joy. She will be wearing a straw hat and she will meet you at the front gate at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the start of the first race.

You may b ring personal food and non-alcoholic beverages to the racetrack. No glass containers are permitted and all beverages must be factory sealed. Small, hand-held coolers that fit easily under the stadium seats are permitted on the grandstand level (3rd floor) and no coolers or outside food allowed above the 3rd floor. See you at the races!

The wind and rain went away after the first race and we had beautiful weather for the rest of the day. Karen, Fred, and Kris were the big winners but we all had fun and enjoyed all the $1 specials. Thanks Kris for your kind words, I am so happy you could attend.
