Hi All!
I'm forwarding this from Carolyn Hartt who has organized an intersection
painting to bring together neighbors and help slow down traffic. Sorry
about the lateness of this, but I thought it would be worth to still send
to you.
"I've got the permit from the city to block and paint the intersection
here, S
49th and Fawcett this Sunday the 26th of Sept. We will have the
surrounding
streets barricaded and the intersection blocked for the day, come and help us
paint the pavement during the afternoon.
After we finish, we'll continue the party here at my house into the
evening. My address is 426 S 49th Street, Tacoma. my telephone # is

Patricia MenziesAssistant OrganizerI can't wait to see the photos! The design is awesome and the effect on traffic is amazing. The drivers slow down and seem reluctant to drive over it! So it does exactly what we wanted. It notifies drivers that the neighbors care about their neighborhood. Hope to see more of these soon throughout the city.
