Basics of Permaculture Design

Permaculture design organizes the elements that we humans desire into the natural fabric of the environment in a way that is creative and realistic. Learn the step-by-step design process that is guided by how the natural world works. This workshop entails teamwork to design the Food Forest, and will be followed by an informal presentation to the community so we can gain some public input. Lunch will be provided.   **IMPORTANT** To register for the event please go here:

$40-$5 Sliding Scale for six hours instruction, lunch, including multiple handouts and concurrent children's activities (ie, childcare)

This workshop is third in a Permaculture Skill Series to gather info and create a design for the Edible Forest Garden at Swan Creek Park. Permaculture design creates abundant, low-maintenance, deliciously edible and self-renewing gardens. Come learn techniques and processes that Permaculture uses as it applies to Swan Creek Park Food Forest. Not only will your contributions guide the food forest’s implementation, you’ll also learn skills that are easily transferred to other garden projects at home.

Instruction is led by Kelda Lorax, with the teaching team of Sean Corwin, Cecily Wolff, Ibraheim Martin, and Nick Lorax.

For whatever reason, I can't seem to order a ticket with a multiple quantity on it, despite bringing a guest with me.

Hi all! Note that the location has changed to a bigger, better venue closer to the site. Not at the community center, but a nearby church

I registered a couple weeks ago and have our tickets but wasn't sure a Meetup RSVP was also required. So here it is. I am very much looking forward to meeting members of this group and taking home a deeper knowledge of permaculture design to put to use immediately.
    See you there.

When is the deadline to register? I would love to attend but I have to make sure I can get the day off from work.

Hi, K. You won't need to pay until the day of the event so I'd suggest registering and then letting us know if you can't make it. We have room for about 30 in the class.
