3rd Annual MLK I Have a Dream Block Party

3rd Annual MLK I Have a Dream Block Party - August 28th, 2014

In the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr's I have a dream speech, we invite you to join us and share your dreams for the community and the future. Speeches are made in a variety of different ways, all are welcome so please don't be intimidated or limited letting your voice be heard! This is the third year the 120th St Ecohouse has hosted the I Have a Dream event but the first year we are expanding into an all-day block party. We will have live music, food vendors, a free-sale and a whole lot of fun. Come share your dreams with us!

A suggested donation of $5: donations to go to "Trees and Bees" to help fund our Urban Beekeeping Project, and tree planting goals.

Dana Lyons is performing from 7:30-10 pm, more details to follow...

Certified permaculturist, Zak Prebilsky, will be cooking local organic pizzas wood-fired in our earthen oven! He will be accepting donations.

You can reach Polly at (253)[masked] or [masked] if you have any questions.

Thank You for coming. There is something very special when "old and new" friends gather. I enjoyed hearing everyones' speeches, the food and music. It was really great to see everyone.

Thank you all so much. I needed that boost from community! Old friends, new friends, and Dana who is a category all to himself. There will always be a place for you at my hearth wherever it is, gentle troubadour. I'll even endow a "chair" for those like you after I'm gone.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
