The venue worked for this year. I did especially like the pips and drums on the Pier. We will be back to our Fallen firefighters location next year. My hearfelt thanks for those of you who came out and to those of you who also helped with other chores to make our event happen. Go to the tribune and see the pictures posted. Liz will also have some available on FB soon.
Liked the new venue but it is more fitting to have the ceremony at the station 5 location.

Does anyone have a folding table, like a card table that they could bring tomorrow for the coffee?

I have one. just need a table cloth
Not going to make it...going to be delayed getting back into town.
Hi everyone! We are pretty set to go for the event. I must say that we have a terrific HG turnout and well as Pipes and Drums! The weather should be fantastic as well. I just spoke with HQ and we will have the Fire Boat there to do a display at the end of the ceremony. Please remind people that it is at a different location this year. See you on Wednesday!

Hello everyone. Scott and I met at the site today. We have a good plan. Parking for HG will be either Les Davis Pier, Lobster shop or across from the site by Dale rd. You will need to come ready to go and make sure you have eaten. The roles I have are: Bell team - need 2, axes,- 2, Color guard -4 and pathfinder -2. We also have other HG attending. Looks like we have a really strong showing from our HG and I proud of our folks for that. I have 3 people I believe that are on duty and I am trying to get you there. I have also created a page on FB. If it needs improvement let me know as it is my first FB page. Still figuring it out. We will have our WTC Steel there and I need someone who wants to assume the role of "keeper of the steel" and never let it out of your sight. Anyone? Scott will MC and I will call Commands. Thank you everyone for stepping up for this most important event. Slainte!

I have sent email to everyone on your work computer. I hope that you are receiving this. If you have not checked lately or did not get it, our ceremony will begin at 0930 with prelude and officially begin at 0945. I will need folks for Color guard, Bell team, and pathfinder. Let me know if you have any questions. ALso, because we do not have a place to change, please show up ready to go. Thank you.

Hello all. Here is an update on the 9.11 ceremony. They will begin construction on the new station and will fence off the area to include the Memorial. I am looking at another area to hold the ceremony. I went to NY earlier this year to get our WTC Steel with hopes to dedicate it this year as well. Because of the construction, we will not be able to dedicate it. We will need to wait until next year.

I think I'm going to be in Spain hiking The Way Of St James. 500 mile walk from France into and across the North of Spain. If I'm here I'll change my RSVP. Craig

No. The best time is Sept into early October. But as it turns out, my wife wants to put it off until next year. Forbids me to go without her. So I may be in for the deal.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
