Carly always comes prepared with all sorts of great ways to move forward and attain work! She has already helped me to see different avenues for finding employment, and I am putting some of those ideas to work today.

For a first meeting I think it was time well spent. Thanks, Carly. One suggestion: We could start a Google Doc (or similar collaborative online resource) listing our skills, that may lead towards more effective networking. A simple verbal "I can do this and I'm looking for that type of work" to 4 other people physically present in the club meeting may not be memorable enough or have a wide enough audience when I see the membership of this online Meetup group is 265 people.

Although the information I've gained is pretty useful, I feel that I may have hurt my chances of finding a career because I stayed in another country for far too long.

The energy and ideas we gain from each other is so amazing. I'm enjoying having more room with our new meeting space at The Tacoma New Tribune Building located at 1950 S. State Street, Tacoma, WA 98405. Even though our scheduled speaker was not able to come until next week (Dec 5th) the 33 of us that were there today (Nov 28th) had a good time getting to know each other and trading ideas and tips about job hunting.

The Job Club is a great place to start if you are searching for a job. Albeit the assistance you can acquire from other source is important as well, the Job Club is a must tool in your job hunting portfolio. The vast knowledge & experience of its members combined with the most lucid and free advice that you will get, is priceless! Disclaimer: No Master Card used to promote this message:)
