Last Saturday Critique Meeting

Why not spend a little time this evening on your submission for the Last SATURDAY of the Month Critique Meeting.

Posting Guidelines:

All submissions must be posted no later than the Monday before the meeting.  If you have attended a meeting but do not yet have access to the Wiki, please email me at [masked] with a valid email address—preferably gmail.

Submission requirements for this meeting:

A legible 12 pt. font.

1.5 - 2.0 line spacing. Use 1.5 spacing ONLY if you use short paragraphs and space between paragraphs. Otherwise use double spacing.

A header on all of your pages with the title of your submission, a copyright notice with YOUR NAME and the PAGE NUMBER / PAGE COUNT. There is a template file under MORE->FILES in the horizontal menu.

Your submission should be in .doc or .rtf format. Do NOT use .docx because not everyone can import it into their word processor. Also, be aware that GOOGLE will NOT link .rtf files for online reading. That's all right because I will re-post it as a .doc file. Do not use .pdf fies.

Please DO leave a comment with contains a brief note about your submission and what kind of critique you would like.

For downloading files, click on the Down Arrow next to the submission.

Be careful NOT to click on the 'X' on the extreme right of a file name unless it is YOUR file. This will delete the file and cause a great deal of angst.

Please bring extra copies for new members.

Please come early to purchase you beverage so that we can start on time.

The following email addresses may not show up in this blurb.  If not, email me through the Rough Draft Meetup and send me your email address.

If you have not yet been to a meeting and you are sincerely planning to come to this one, you do not have access to the Wiki, but would like to submit something, you can email it to [masked], and I will post it for you and email you other submissions

If you should have access to the Wiki ( i.e., you've been to at least one meeting) but cannot get in, please email me at [masked]. Other wise, please do not use this email address.

If you have access to the Wiki, but can't figure out where to post your submission, you can call me at[masked], and I will walk you through it.

I mentioned last meeting about my book, Crossing Rivers. A couple mentioned wanting a copy but being the astute person I am I got only one e-mail address. If any of you are interested send me an e-mail lensand [masked]. I am sending signed copies for $6.00 until Friday (in celebration of my writer's nook airing in the Masters Treehouse on Animal Planet). Anyway, if any are interested just send me a name and an e-mail address. Good meeting last week, my apologies for always having to leave a little early.

Barbara, there is a bus that goes down Regent's Blvd. Not sure what the number is. We have another member who takes the bus. I'm pretty sure the bus company has a web site that helps you figure out a route.

Robert gave me an excellent suggestion (a cover story) as to how I can tie my short stories together. Am working on it and will present it in near future. Thanks.

This meeting was pivotal for me because of the feedback! Sure it was long, but it becomes more meaningful the more often I go.

I'm sorry, but new tenants are moving into my place this weekend, and I have to move out by Sunday. I won't be attending this weekends critique session. I will bring my critiques of this sessions stories, plus critiques for whatever is uploaded for the next session on 6/14

So if anyone has an idea for a title for my work, I'm open to suggestions!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
