Taiji (Tai chi): this is the traditional form with 108 movements. It is the Wudong Style
Qigong (Chi Kung): The movements of qigong are therapeutic – each set of exercises being specific to certain acupuncture meridians or organ systems. Qigong revitalizes your body and brings scattered energy together. The result is that you are more relaxed and yet more energized.
Meditation: We do traditional Taoist standing meditation called the Microcosmic Orbit. Here we bring the yin and yang forces of the body together for overall harmony. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the definition of health is having these forces in harmony – disease is a condition in which yin and yang are out of balance.
In these classes, known as the Dan Tao practice, we will do qigong, and meditation. Qigong is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine to which we often refer for illumination. Deep transformation of the individual is possible through this study (and, it is fun!).
The instructor is Roy Lucianna (Hermes) has 25 years of experience in taiji, qigong and meditation. He is also a poet, painter, astrologer and healer.
