Welcome! We are a group of tai chi (taiji) and chi kung (qigong) enthusiasts who gather together in beautiful outdoor settings in different towns in the SF peninsula area to practice the ancient arts of tai chi and chi kung for health, meditation, and martial ability. When practiced with consistency the arts of tai chi and chi kung help to relax and strengthen the body, the internal organs, and the immune system, improve balance and agility, build up the protective qi (energy) field, and bring quietude to the mind, ultimately helping promote longevity and an increased quality of living, as well as a clearer attunement of vital essence, energy, and Spirit (Jing, Qi, Shen).
No tai chi or chi kung experience is necessary, all are welcome attend.
(Note: The number of people who sign up for classes in this meetup group is usually not reflective of the actual number of people attending, as most people who attend the classes are not in this meetup group. Classes usually average 5 - 20 people, and class size also varies a bit depending on the location offered)
