"Papago Park" Evening Hike in Tempe

Join us on another Papago Park Evening Hike. Let's call this one the "Whoop-T-Does" Buttes Loop.
A mostly level dirt trail hike at a modest challenge. Any group hike on Papago's trail is exceptional to share! Plenty of good people and conversation! The trek includes a lap around Little Butte and twice around Big Butte. For the experienced "Trekers" ... we'll keep it at a moderate pace to "Pump it up" ... burn away that extra slice of pizza!
I'll throw in a stair climb and then "Jazz you Up" on the "Whoop-T-Does" trail section for a bit more interesting. Before you know it .. we'll be back before total dark, feeling pretty good! (Park Closes at Sunset-Dark). GPS Hike Stats: 3.53 miles, Duration 55:38 minutes at a 15 min/mile pace .. a hustle! Be ready.

Papago Park's convenient location and moderate terrain makes it ideal for desert hiking practice. Train for the more advanced, mountain hikes offered by other Take A Hike hosts or just to stay in shape!
All fitness levels are welcome on our Papago Hike. We'll meet at the Gazebo "Map Link" and then get started ... see you there.

We had a small group .. the fast paced hike proved to be a good workout for all. Two dropped off early. The rest completed 3.53 miles in 65 minutes .. that's an honorable mention to the Papago boot camp enlistees! Good Hiking!

Ugh! I missed it again. This time I was only 2 minutes late and thought I could catch up but never saw a group of people hiking.
