Harvest Moon Hike - Peralta Trail Head

I'm doing a sunset till after dark hike in the Superstitions on Sept. 29.
Meeting time is from 1530 - 1600 hrs. With some Geocachers also.
At 1600 hrs. I will be heading up the Cave Trail.  Bring proper hiking gear.  Headlamps etc.

This will be an in and out hike. About 1 1/4 miles in and up. To view the moonrise over Barkley Basin.
After we reach the plateau which is at approximately the 1.2 mile marker on the profile we will have about 2 hours to view the sights before heading back to the trail head.

I had a ball, moonrise was spectacular. Friendship and trail chat was very enjoyable. Looking forward to another one.

About an hour and a half. You can go to the map link on the event page, input your address and it will take you to the trailhead.

Not sure about 202, but 202 is the long way around. 60 gives a straight shot. I will be leaving Chandler (101 & Ray) about 1:30. If you want to ride with us just let me know by EMail. Joe

Angie, not a real hard hike. A few steep parts, not a scramble. I too a gentleman that was 77 years young up there last year and we did the whole trail. I'm going to hike it slow, because I'm getting out of shape a bit. We are only going in about a 1.20 mile. And may I can post a profile to the event page. Any more questions just ask.

Tis good to see that the prospective attendees list is growing. I'm looking forward to getting back on one of my favorite trails. One that will be done in the daylight when it finally cools off.
