Full moon kayaking trip down the Salt River starting at the bridge and ending at Granite Reef. We will meet at the bridge on the north side at 8:30 pm.
My fb friends are asking how far we went last night. Does anyone have an approximate distance to the second take-out?

You can't miss the bridge. From beeline you're gonna go east on bush highway. You'll pass the first big parking lot where everyone normally starts tubing then the next place to leave the road is at the bridge. It's the only bridge that crosses the river along that stretch of road.

just arrived on the northwest side, I'll wait to unload until thr NE vs NW side is confirmed. Beautiful night!!!!

Hi Brian, I wanted to make sure you received the reply I sent to your email of this afternoon... Yes on me borrowing the kayak. Could you confirm you will be bringing a kayak for me? And THANK YOU!
September 29
No hurry but how long does this stretch typically take in a kayak? Do we go all the way to the dam?
September 28
It's a full moon tonight and my plans fell through. Does anybody have a two man kayak or an extra kayak? let me know! (I'm pretty experienced at kayaking...)
September 29
See everyone there! North side of bridge and we will wait till 8:45 just in case anyone is running late. Don't forget the glowsticks.

this might be useful...
Tonto National Forest, joining with other agencies included under the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA), is hosting a fee-free day on Saturday, September 29.
Day-use fees will be waived at all standard amenity fee sites operated by the forest. Camping and campground fees are not waived.

Hi Everyone,
Just like last time, north side of bridge this time 8:30 pm then we will drop trucks off at the end which this time I was thinking Granite Reef since it's like 4 steps and you're at your truck. Don't forget blue pass and glow sticks.

Ok, not to be a pain BUT, where is the bridge? I have only tubed down the Salt River and was transported via their shuttle to the dropping off point. Perhaps I can meet up with someone (near the area) and caravan or carpool?
September 27
Can someone give me info on camping options are nearby? I'm considering staying overnight and then doing it again in the morning.
September 26
I too would like to go but I am kayak-less and also wouldn't be able to transport a rental with my little itty-bitty car. :(
Any extras?
September 10
Does anyone have an extra kayak? Otherwise, do you think it is possible to transport one in the back of a Jeep Wrangler sticking out the back? I don't know I've never done this before, lol.
September 10
Hi, if anyone has an extra kayak to lend out please let me know. Otherwise i can rent one but would still need help getting it there. Thank you
