Yes another full moon hike!

Access FSR 10 off Bush Highway through Lower Salt River Recreation Area, west of the bridge at Blue Point Recreation Site. N 33°[masked]' W 111°[masked]

The hike will start on the Bulldog Canyon Road at 5:00 p.m.

Be prepared for a night hike in the AZ desert, which means long pants, boots, HEAD LAMPS. etc. On our way back to the vehicles we will be going OFF TRAIL and looking for a Saguaro Cactus known as #31. Why #31?

Because it is a large cactus that has approximately 31 arms, and is very large for a Saguaro.

There are many names for the cycles of the full moon over the course of the year. November is known as the Beaver Moon.

Just an awesome evening in the dessert. The moon was just picture perfect
GPS trip log was 3.57 miles. Moving time 1 hr. 34 min. Total Time 2 hours. Moving average of 2.3 mph. Which equates to a nice hike. And the side trail to the Salt River was a nice addition.

I normally would pass by that area on the way to the Salt River. But on the day of the hike I'm leaving around noon or so. Because I'm doing a hike before the hike. Or I could a carpool from that area.
