Quartz Ridge Trail

This Sunday, I am leading a hike right in Phoenix, the Quartz Ridge Trail.  It starts late enough in the day that you can party the night before and still not be too tired.  Meet me directly at the 40th Street trailhead:

  • Exit State Route 51 onto Shea.
  • Drive east 0.8 miles to 40th Street.
  • Turn south and follow 40th Street 1 mile to the trailhead parking lot.

If the parking lot is full, park on the street.  Or you can circle around and eventually a spot will open.

Distance: 5.5 miles

Elevation Gain: 550 feet

Difficulty: Moderate.  It contains one steep section that is not suitable for beginner hikers, people with heart problems, people with bad knees, or children under 26.

Dogs are welcome on this hike, unless they have heart problems or bad knees.

I have to change my RSVP from NO. Sorry, we got rained out at work today - so now I'm obligated tomorrow. Have a Great Hike!
