Social Second Fridays at the Brickhouse

If you have never come to one of our meetups, our Social Second Fridays events are an excellent way to get started! They are open to the public and are low-key, come when you want, leave when you're ready gatherings where we all just get together to relax after a long work week, meet old friends and new and get ready for a great weekend! So don't be shy - many of us remember how scary it was to come to a meetup without knowing anybody, and we'll do our best to make you feel comfortable and welcome. We have decided to make the Brickhouse our regular Second Friday home until further notice, so please come stop by and see what we're all about and stay for a minute or an hour or as long as you want!

The Brickhouse is a sports bar and restaurant on Hillsborough St just a block from the I-440 beltline. They have a large assortment of beers (including daily special price items), free pool tables and a warm, friendly relaxing atmosphere. On Fridays appetizers are half price, and all NC drafts are only $3 (they have 20 or 30 choices!) And of course lots of sports on TV too! We'll meet in the bar area and if anyone wants to eat dinner later we can do that there too. Or we can go for ice cream at the Ben and Jerry's in the same building!

Take the I-440 Beltline to the Hillsborough St. exit, turn toward downtown Raleigh at the end of the ramp, and turn right at the second light into the Brickhouse parking lot - it's right across the street from Meredith College.

On this particular Social Second Friday we will also be going afterwards to see an outdoor movie at the Art Museum (it is so close you could walk, but let's drive).

See you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
