Was not sure what to expect but felt that it was not what I had anticipated it would be.

I was a bit disappointed too

Yeah it was ok but eh. I'm not a big Con person anyway but this really just seemed to be an excuse to host that Magic tournament. Everything else just seemed tacked on. I missed some early panels that seemed they might be somewhat interesting but made it back for the last panel on Zombie Pandemic and it wasn't at all what I thought. It was fun but not worth going back for. I went to FreeCon last weekend and really didn't care for it at all and sadly ALT*Con wasn't any better AND there was an admission charge. Perhaps the organizers of both can get together and just do 1 Con. Maybe AltCon will get better if they do it again but I will really think hard about attending next year if they do another. Also BOTH cons ignored this awesome local artist www.christopherburdett.com .
Well, maybe suggest that the artist contact the con before the next one, that's all it took for me to get on the guest list.
I let them know about it, kinda surprised that both parties were unaware of each other, and suggested the artist to the Con's page as well.
For a first-year, very small convention, it was pretty good. I have been to many conventions, as small as 500 attendees, to as large as DragonCon with it's 70,000+.
Also, I've been a staffer for small to large conventions, so it was about what I was expecting. I *do believe* that the convention organizers have learned a lot and if they opt to do it again next year, will make positive changes. As with any first-year convention, there are various issues/pains to deal with...some of it, i.e. the venue, cannot be helped. Also, I believe if anyone wants to make a convention better, most conventions are always looking for solid, reliable volunteers.
It was good for a first time CON. I hope next year will happen, and it will be even better.
This was my first con and it didn't make me really wanna do it again. I might go check out another one in the future but I'm not going to hunt one out. I did really like Nigel Sade's art though and was impressed with a couple other artists but man that TARDIS was straight crappy! Even I could do a better paint job then that... didn't even want to get my pic taken with it once I saw it up close
Due to illness, I wasn't able to attend. :(
Hope this will be better done than what they put on Internet. We'll be there late morning or by 1pm

The site crashed at 4a.m. this morning...prior to that, it was fully working. It's just a first-year-convention glitch...and you know how those go ;)
From what the FB page said, I think they were having server issues. I thought they had been fixed, but what I need isn't up. I'm sure things will get better if they repeat the con.
Would love to go, but other sudden obligations popped up so I will not be going.
Have to work :(
Is there a specific place we should meet at?
BTW. I'm also going there with another meetup group "Tallahassee 20's & 30's" so I may be switching back and forth.
I'll definitely be there at some point!

What to Feed Your Raiding Party, the comic book cookbook for gamers! We're the first table on your left at the main entrance to the dealer room (at least according to the current map).

Looks to be pretty cool!
Just saw that there is another convention here in Tallahassee, April 5 - 7.

Yup! It has been getting more attention with more effort being put into content and increasingly slick advertisement.
I may be there in a character costume one of the days. I will definitely be working in the maid cafe on Saturday. Come see us! ♥

Finally. A gaming convention in our area. My kind of show. Looking forward to this and meeting up with some like minded individuals.

So looking forward to this.

Will definitely try to be there!
The title of this meetup is its own description. Into sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, bad movies, and great company? This is the group for you. Spot the double-meaning group name acronym? Then this is really the group for you.
