New Leaf market events

This free class is called "polenta pies". This is cross posted with the Tallahassee Vegetarian Community meetup group. FREE! Yummy, quick and filling as can be. A time saver for sure, polenta pies are quite colorful and very rich in nutrition. Join us for this class and learn to make both an Italian and Mexican inspired variety. Add a salad and it’s dinner time! Instructor, Cynthia Cowen, LMT, is an advocate for whole food, plant-based meal choices as a way to support our own health and that of our planet.

Hey all, I am sorry I missed last night's class. I ran late on an earlier meeting. So how was the class?

Erin, I would be interested in the vermiculture course on Sept. 28th, as I am sure others here would be. Can you get more info to us on that? I would also like to attend the 2013 Farm Tour. When is that? Carpooling for that is a great and eco-friendly idea!

New Leaf has a free vegan cooking class on Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 pm. Learning to cook using a sustainable way of eating (if only regularly but not every day) and organic products would be part of the mission of this group, no?

They do have some interesting stuff. There's a course on Vermiculture on September 28 that seems the most sustainability-related. Did you have a specific even in mind? Also, the 2013 farm tour program is up; perhaps we should discuss picking a few tours and carpooling?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
