The purpose of this Meetup is to facilitate a watershed based Bioregional Permaculture Design Project for the Tampa Bay Watershed. We will be using the Permaculture Flower and the Permaculture Carbon Cluster as organizational frameworks along with permaculture ethics and design principles to transform this watershed into a resilient and regenerative ecosystem.

The base camp for this project is centered within this watershed/bioregion at The Permaculture Guild Research and Resource center in Tampa (exact location to be announced). We intend to begin holding strategic planning meetings at this and other locations throughout the watershed during the design and implementation stages of this project.

We will be bringing in human energies from many diverse groups that are aligned with or reflected by the eight primary domains in the Permaculture Flower in addition to the ninth domain which is known as the Transition Network. The key areas addressed in this whole system design approach are as follows: Permaculture Ethics & Design Principles, Land & Nature Stewardship, Natural Building , Tools & Technology, Culture & Education, Health & Spiritual Wellness, Finance & Economics and Land Tenure & Community Governance. The Transition Network system is the vehicle we will use to raise awareness in our communities and work together to get this project implemented in a holistic and inclusive framework.
