Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms, Berries, Seeds*....OH MY! (The SUPER foods found on the super highway to health!)
After learning about Dr. Fuhrman through the documentary "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead", attending his recent Health Immersion in Chicago and just completing a 15 day Guided Reboot with Joe (Cross), I’m feeling better than I have in 20 years, and I'm convinced going down the Nutritarian lifestyle yellow brick road will bring nothing but the best of health for all! Dr. Fuhrmans's program is not just about losing weight (you WILL lose it, not to worry!), but about regaining your health, and your life! It's also about preventing and even reversing disease. The Standard American Diet (SAD) is killing the standard American.
Dr. Fuhrman's definition of a Nutritarian, as found in his book "Eat for Health", is "A person who strives for more micronutrients per calorie in their diet-style and who avoids unhealthy food choices." A Nutritarian can be a vegetarian or a vegan, but doesn't have to be. Both raw and cooked foods are consumed. Meat, sugar, flour, oil, salt and processed grains are consumed on a very limited basis, or not at all
. The focus is on micronutrients.....minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and phytochemicals which can be obtained by consuming primarily vegetables, beans, fruits, nuts and seeds, and is VERY effective for weight loss as well as regaining or maintaining health. You can finally “conquer cravings and food addictions”**, and “you may experience reversal of diseases such as heart disease, headaches, allergies, high blood pressure and diabetes”**. Dr. Fuhrman has had patients that have played tennis and chopped wood in their 90’s!! It is time to take back your life and have the opportunity to live a healthy, active and long life as well!
As for the (initially unintended) reference to the “Wizard of Oz“...being a wizard of sorts himself, Dr. Fuhrman has also been endorsed by the other wizard …Dr. Oz! ;-)
