Casa Seranita "Lunch & Learn"

Each week on Thursday, we invite you to come by Casa Seranita--bring a dish if you can, don't worry if you can't. We will always have enough food to share, along with homesteading skills such as: food preservation, fermentation, vegan cooking, gluten-free lifestyle, organic gardening, permaculture, and MORE.

We are now open for HOMESCHOOLERS on Fridays, working on the "KinderGarden" =)

DONATIONS of materials (or money--we won't turn that down, either) ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

The current list of needed items for the garden is:

• kid-sized garden tools

• More gutters

• Veggie & legume starts

• fruit & nut trees

• berry bushes

• humacelium (that's humans who behave like mycelium, working underground through unseen networks to blossom suddenly into view)

• Human Resources:

•  weeding

•  digging irrigation

•  cataloging tools

•  finishing the rainbarrel stand

(11/14) I forgot I had cancelled 'this week's event because I thought I'd be out of town, but I had a visit anyway from Sue Andreski from Holiday--I met her at the Pasco Ecofest, and she brought me a bunch more green babies which we'll plant with the kids tomorrow! I am so grateful for all of our community support and look forward to adding mOre and MORE classes and workshops! ^_^
