It isn't peak season for water fowl, but Vlad stopped by and saw a good sampling still there. Let's give it a try and see what we can find. I've seen a good variety there in the past as well as the occasional gator, snake, spider, elephant...well. OK, no elephants but you get the idea!
I've found Lettuce Lake to be a bit unpredictable...one time swarming with critters and the next time not much happening. Be prepared to go with the flow...you may get birds, plants, people in canoes and kayaks, shots of each other...whatever presents itself! But it is a nice walk on the boardwalk with good company (and me) no matter what!
If any of our model members want some shots in a nice nature environment, sign up and join us!
There is a $2 per car entrance fee. The park opens at 8AM and it's best to get on the boardwalk ASAP!
Follow the curving drive until it "T's", turn left and go to the end parking lot by the restrooms.
