  • I have a big boat show to do at Ft. Desoto on this weekend and need two working crew to help offload and set up boats and then show them off to perspective clients. Everyone is welcome to come for the FREE demo part of the show but for my helping hands, you will be treated to a free camp site and sailing all day and night for the entire weekend! Camping is optional for the working crew but if you stay, you get to play at night! Working crew must have good basic knowledge of sailing small boats or have participated in one of my (learn to sail) events. Demo day starts at 9:00 am

Here are the details for the working crew and options.
I really only need help on Saturday so you don’t have to camp out. However, Crew members who do want to camp out will be bumped to the head of the line and enjoy night sailing, campfire fun and all that goes with a weekend in one of Florida’s premier parks. I plan to be at the park on Friday evening and stay until Sunday. So, working crew will have the opportunity to spend the entire weekend sailing day and night! One option for working crew is to camp out on a boat. That’s right, I have one boat which can be decked over so a tent can be pitched on a flat surface and the protected lagoon is a great place to anchor out only a short distance from the store and rest rooms.

Interested yet? Well, obviously there are a lot of details working crew need to consider and we must communicate by phone to hammer them all out. Indicate with your RSVP if you are coming for the FREE demo day or wanting to be a working crew member. Here are a few Q&A I’m sure will come up.
Q: Can my spouse/partner be the other working crew? A: Yes
Q: Can I do the night sailing but not camp out? A: No, the park closes at dark and you must be a camper to stay.
Q: Can you use more than two working crew? A: yes but the camping situation is complicated. I can have one extra tent on the site and one on the boat. Who sleeps with whom is the question?
So working crew should RSVP and then call me to work out details
