Indian Buffet Lunch - get your *hot* on!

I've tried the weekday buffet, and it's great, not too spicy, good variety of selections. Sunday's menu, adding Indian street food (bhel puri, I hope!), sounds great.  From the Tampa Bay Times review:

http://www.tampabay.com/things-to-do/food/dining/gateway-to-india-no-2-in-bay-pines-is-as-good-as-sarasota-sister/2150724

"... At lunchtime, there is a buffet, $10.99 Monday to Saturday, $12.99 on Sunday when the kitchen steps it up a little, offering interesting Indian street foods and some southern Indian specialties. The other six days, you'll usually find five vegetarian curries (one spinach, one mild korma; usually two mild and two a little spicier), one goat dish, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, some kind of biryani or vegetarian pulao, and a couple of desserts, one hot and one cold. There are pakoras and chutneys and pappadam and naan, all the accoutrements to enliven an already fairly exciting meal..."

Please be prepared to pay for the buffet in cash since it will be the same price for everyone and will make it easier for the hosts and restaurant.   Ask for Elizabeth's table.

Sometimes we didn't know exactly what we were eating but when we asked the staff, they were happy to tell us. Everything was delicious and that hardly seems an adequate description. So glad to share a meal with happy Dining Outers.

Oh no--I might not be able to make it! I have to do something this morning and not sure what time I will finish. I'll take my name off the list in case someone else wants my spot, but if I get back in time I might try to sneak in anyway ;)

Come on over Virginia. As this is a buffet, we will be serving ourselves throughout the course of the meal.

Please explain the difference between Jimmy Buffet and Indian Buffet and describe how each will change the world in its own way, whether we like it or not. Include an analayis of how naan makes the world a better place.

I was just going to post an event here! Great choice, Susan. I have been here for dinner, ordering from the regular menu, and everything was truly delicious!

Oops! I see there's already a 2pm event on the Sunday, so Saturday may be the better choice, even if the buffet choices are fewer...

Since the other Sunday event is full, let's go ahead and do this on the 5th since I will be out of town for the remaining Sundays in January.
