Fighting, discussing fighting, sparring, just bringing out the fighter in you. Here's the basics til we get more people. Check out the photos. We have a meet, Everybody who shows up is has to be willing to participate at least once. rules are simple; before a match, no rings, watches, or any other type of jewelry. no shoes and any one who shows up can be challenged. During the match no punching, kicking, biting, spiting, eye gauging, groin shots, fish hooking, and no slamming of the heads. Once we get more organized and have more members I can start the transition to a more full contact MMA style, that takes alot of set up so the more people we get the easier and faster i can set it up. This isn't a gym set up at all so drinking is fine. Bottom line its a way to take out all aggression without the risk of going to jail, getting out numbered, or some pussy pulling a weapon. Two people enter two people leave one one victor one not, but the main point is just participating winning is just that extra plus. There are no rounds or bells, first person to get tap out or choke out wins. I used to organize a club like this for three years, never had an injury or problem. We all had a great time and I wanna get it started here in tampa.
Now a little about me, spent five years in the Marines, during that time been all over the world seen all kinds of fighting. After awhile I realized I really like fighting, in all forms. There is just something so free about fighting, for those brief moments you have no worries, nothing matters except for you and your opponent. After awhile some of us were getting in trouble for fighting, so we came up with a way to fight, yet keep out of most problems. We called it Thunder Dome and for those three years it was amazing, we'd battle each other. Some times it was friend on friend, sometimes friend on enemy, and sometime stranger on stranger. We always had one ref, two fighters, and surrounded by peers. Back then it was where ever we could find a spot. No one ever scrutinized the loses,we had a general belief, if you had the balls to enter Thunder Dome you were already a winner, it's the people who refuse to enter that were the losers.
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
