Muay Thai is derived from ancient military un-armed combat in Southeast Asia. As a full contact combat system, its highly regarded reputation is such that there is no debate on its effectiveness on real combat application. In addition to defending oneself in various ways, Muay Thai practitioner learns how to effectively use; fists, elbows, knees, kicks, and clinch. This class is designed for the beginners, and the presentation of techniques will be focused on basic skills.
I am not an expert. Now, I've played various sports as well as different martial arts thought out my growing years. For the past year, I've concentrated on Muay Thai, practicing 6 to 8 hours every week. I have a certification as "Level One Boxer" or "Neung Khan Nak Muay" from the Khanomtom Muay Thai. Currently I train at the Tampa Muay Thai (tampamuaythai.com) in advance class as well as in their fight camp. finally i should note that this event, i do not represent the Tampa Muay Thai.
gym outfit that is both comfortable and allows for the kicking (important). thus long basketball shorts, as an example, is not recommended. bring sparring gloves if you have them. water.
