CORE: Learn Arduino Basics

Using the Sparkfun Red Board Kit, learn the fundamentals of setting up your Arduino, basic programming, and interfacing with real world devices.

Instructor: Sean Murphy

Cost: $15 for non-members, free for members.
If you need the Red Board Kit, it is $50. Those who took our Basics Circuits class will already have this (and once you have it, you're good to go for Basic Circuits too).

Sean continues to amaze me! Excellent job, well presented. This old dog learned some new tricks.

Excellent excellent excellent….for someone who knew nothing about Arduino to people with considerable programing knowledge, instruction was perfect. I even learned how to spell Arduino :) and breadboarded "stuff" which interacted with the Arduino board & programs (sketches). Thank you!!

I have the Adafruit starter pack that I bought. Is that an acceptable substitute for the Red Board kit?

You may not be able to do everything we are doing, but I'd say you are fine with that.

How do we get the Red Board kit? Will you have them on hand at the meetup? And is this cash or plastic for payment?

We have the kits available for the class. You can pay with cash or we can take credit cards via Square.

Do you need the Board or Basics circuits to come? Thanks

How about the basic circuits class? Is it a prerequisite for this one?

    • Tampa H.

The basic circuits class is useful but not required as a prerequisite.
