Kid's Open Make Day

We're opening our doors to families for our weekly Kid’s Open Make program. Our theme for June is Summer Fun. Join us to celebrate conservation and green technology.

Families have access to our space, project kits, and basic hand tools to create, explore, and learn. A few of the project kits have an associated activity fee to cover the cost of materials. For these projects, children are able to take home their projects at the end of the day. Otherwise, the program is free to families.

Kids are welcome to bring their own projects or work on ours. We also have crafts, electronics, snap circuits, robots, Minecraft, and more.

Note: This is not a drop off activity. Parents must stay to supervise and assist their kids on projects.

Special Project: We're going to make an instructable with our Little Bits.

My product has some small aluminum parts. Is that something I can fabricate at Hackerspace?

Kid's Open Make is not an open house for adults. Also, we are not a commercial fabrication facility. If you need small scale or light manufacturing for parts, there are a number of machine shops in Tampa Bay for hire.
